SI PORT OF SPAIN-MOTHER OF SOROPTIMISM IN THE CARIBBEAN

CELEBRATES 50 YEARS

Soroptimist International Port of Spain will commemorate the 50 years of Soroptimism in Trinidad and Tobago in the year 2009. Through its charter in 1959, this club of pioneering women of action brought Soroptimism to the Caribbean and begun its work employing the ideals of volunteerism, advocacy and service

During the anniversary year, SI Port of Spain will embark on a year long set of activities which will bring to the forefront the vast amount of social work done over the years to promote the advancement of the women, children and families of our country.

The theme for the entire year of activities will be “50 Years of Empowering Girls and Women of Trinidad and Tobago for Success”.
