  • IMPRESS FOR SUCCESS

A successful staging of our IMPRESS FOR SUCCESS programme was held on Friday 11th April, 2008, for the girls of HOLY FAITH CONVENT, PENAL
Ms. Jacqui Koon How of the House of Jacqui made an often amusing presentation on Deportment and Etiquette to the students of Forms 1 and 2, who responded immediately to the advice on the correct way to sit even though they soon relapsed into their accustomed postures.
Ms. Camille Ramdial of Camilleon Consulting delivered an interesting session entitled Relationships for Success to the girls of Forms 3 and 4 and this culminated in a presentation by Mr. Hal Greaves and his Interactive Team who dramatically confirmed everything that Camille has said during the session.
The students of Forms 5 and 6 enjoyed an interactive presentation by Ms.Ramdial on Winning in the Workplace.  These senior girls were preparing to apply for spaces in the Republic Bank Youth Link training programme, so they were keen to discuss the points raised in the presentation.
This programme followed a previous staging of IMPRESS FOR SUCCESS held on Wednesday 27th February 2008, at the CORINTH SIXTH FORM SCHOOL, where over sixty students participated.
The presenters on that day were:

  • Ms. Camille Ramdial – The Value of Self- esteem in Making Wise Career Choices

  • Jacqui Koon How  - Dress to Impress
  • Wendy Nobbie –Dealing with Rejection

  • WORLD WATER DAY – In observance of this day, an appeal was made at the Club’s Golf Tournament held on Sunday 9th March 2008, for donations to purchase water tanks to be donated to a deserving family.  This appeal yielded one thousand and twenty dollars ($1020.00) which has made it possible to purchase three water tanks and fittings which are soon to be donated.

A similar appeal was made at the Golf Tournament hosted in 2007. That appeal yielded five hundred and ninety-two dollars and twenty five cents ($592.25) which the Club was able to purchase a 400 gallon water tank which was donated to Wendy Giles of Freeport.
